The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department has announced a public holiday on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, for all government and private schools across the province to mark Chehlum (20 Safar 1448 AH).
The decision was confirmed through an official notification issued on July 31, based on approval from the Steering Committee’s meeting held back on February 12.
All institutions under the department’s administrative control will remain closed on the day. District education authorities, education boards, and private schools have been directed to implement the notification and ensure it reaches everyone concerned.
