The Punjab Government has launched a number of new education schemes in 2026 that will benefit school, college, and university students. Major reforms have been introduced CM Maryam Nawaz to enhance the ability to access quality education, offer financial assistance, and modernize classrooms.

Punjab Laptop Scheme
Laptop Distribution Program is revived by the Punjab Government. The matric, intermediate, and university students with high performance will be provided with brand new laptops to facilitate digital learning.
The project aims to enhance online literacy and help students to achieve higher success in the field of online learning. Those who are in the top position, merit students and those who are in institutions that are recognized by the government are eligible.
Free Books & Uniforms Scheme
On the academic year, all government school students will get free textbooks between Grade 1 and 10. Uniforms are also being given in a number of districts to alleviate the financial pressure on parents. This program will help in bringing down the schooling expenses and more children enroll.
School Meal Program for Primary Students
The Punjab School Meal Program provides free healthy meals to students studying at the primary education districts. The aim is to decrease hunger, enhance health, and increase the level of attendance at government schools. The program has already delivered good results in increasing the involvement in the classroom.
Taleem Fund Scholarship
This scholarship is monthly financial support offered to bright students with low income families. It pays tuition fees, books and other basic expenses of education. Students studying in colleges and universities can apply online via portal.
PEEF Study Abroad Scholarship
The scholarship of foreign studies in Punjab supports Masters and PhD students who would prefer to course in the best international universities. The scholarship covers tuition fees, living expenses and travel grants. The applications are submited at the PEEF Scholarship Portal.
Punjab School Upgradation Program
Thousands of government schools across Punjab are being upgraded with:
