On October 2, 2023, Hyundai Nishat Motor (Private) Limited (HNMPL), one of the fastest-growing automotive brands in Pakistan, launched the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid. This launch marks a significant milestone for the Pakistani automotive industry as it is the first hybrid SUV to be introduced in the country.
The Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid is a locally assembled D-SUV hybrid vehicle that offers fuel efficiency, performance, and reduced emissions. It is also Pakistan’s first AWD 7-seater Hybrid SUV, making it an ideal choice for larger families and environmentally conscious drivers.
Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Engine and Performance
Under the hood, the Santa Fe Hybrid is powered by a 1.6L turbocharged GDI four-cylinder hybrid engine and a 44.2 kW electric motor. The combined output of the engine and motor is 229 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle comes standard with all-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission.
It is EPA-rated to get up to 36 MPG in the city and 28 MPG on the highway, making it one of the most fuel-efficient SUVs on the market. The Santa Fe Hybrid also features three driving modes: Snow Mode, Mud Mode, and Sand Mode.

Inside, the Santa Fe Hybrid offers a spacious interior with seating for up to eight passengers. The front seats are comfortable and supportive, while the rear seats offer plenty of legroom and headroom. The vehicle also has a large cargo area, which can be expanded by folding down the rear seats.
Standard features include a heated steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, 12.3-inch touchscreen Super Vision infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, full TFT LCD, 9+1 Harmon Kardon Speaker Sound System, dual LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, LED rear combination lamps, rear fog lamps, rear view camera, front view camera, 19-inch alloy wheels, 10-way driver and 8-way passenger seat, and automatic dual-zone air conditioner.

In terms of safety, the Santa Fe Hybrid comes equipped with six airbags, an anti-lock braking system, electronic stability control, rearview camera, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, traction control, hill start assist, downhill brake control, and a lane departure monitoring system.

The Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid is available in two trim levels: Smart and Signature. Both trims are available in six colors: Polar White, Black, Diamond, Silver Metallic, Magnetic Force, Oxford Blue, and Rain Forest. The Smart trim level is priced at Rs. 12,990,000, while the Signature trim is priced at Rs. 14,699,000.
