SIM information is important to those of you who are using Mobile Phones in Pakistan. This is because the owner details of the SIM in use would be disclosed. Before, people could buy a SIM card without going through the registration process, and currently, owning an unauthorized SIM card is involved in illicit activities. PTA directed people to register their SIM cards in their name to use the network services.
We will provide various methods verified by the PTA to check the SIM card owner’s name and the owner’s status in Pakistan.
How to Check SIM Owner Name and CNIC
PTA has mentioned several options through which the owner of any SIM can be known and the CNIC number verified. These methods include:
1. Via SMS
Users can send SMS “MNP” to 667 us”ng “he SIM, which will provide the existing number of the specific SIM owner’s CNIC number.
2. Via Call or Visit Network Service Provider
You can also check the SIM card registration status in the owner’s name by the owner or go to the network service provider.
3. Check the SIM Owner Name Online
Users can use Android applications and software to check the SIM owner’s details. PTA does not recommend or approve most of the apps. For the current legal specifications of I.D., an individual can register up to five SIM cards in their name.
Mobile phone users in Pakistan should use phones with registered SIMs, and it is necessary for the mobile user and for the mobile phone connections that the SIM owner details of that specific SIM be known. By using the correct procedure given in the PTA-approved sources, a user is able to trace the SIM owner details by entering the number that belongs to that individual and his CNIC number.
