Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has officially announced the final exam schedule for its Associate Degree programs. The programs include Arts, Commerce, Education, BBA, BS, and B.Ed. This announcement was made on October 4th, 2023, and is applicable to the Spring Semester of 2023.
The examination period will commence on October 16 and conclude on December 15. Students enrolled in these programs can access the date sheet on the university’s official website. In addition to this, roll number slips have been uploaded to the official CMS portal. Candidates have also been informed about the exam schedule via text messages.
In an effort to facilitate students, numerous examination centers have been established at regional levels. These centers are located close to the residences of students, as per the directions of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Nasir Mehmood.
To ensure transparency and prevent cheating during the examinations, special committees have been formed upon the directives of the Vice Chancellor. Mobile inspectors and regional directors will visit the examination centers to check the students’ roll numbers and CNICs.

In other news, AIOU recently celebrated International Translation Day with a grand ceremony. The event was presided over by VC Professor Dr. Nasir Mehmood, with Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar, Director General of the Natural Language Processing Department, as the special guest. The ceremony aimed to pay tribute to the great work done by translators and to emphasize how languages help connect different nations.
During the event, the English translation of Dr. Shahid Siddiqui’s novel, ‘Aadhay Adhooray Khawab,’ was unveiled. The English translation has been titled as ‘Dreams Don’t Die.’ The event was hosted by the Chairperson of the Center for Languages and Translation Studies, Dr. Ghulam Ali, and Dr. Lubna Umar.
