The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has announced the start of online applications for Batch-IV of its Coastal AreaScholarships Programme for Students of Balochistan. This fully funded program will uplift the underdeveloped coastal areas by providing quality education at higher level, not only public sector universities but also in established private institutions of Pakistan.
Eligible students of predetermined coastal districts shall apply for HEC Admission 2025/26 and have hayday of their academic future scholarship scheme.
Scholarship Quota & District Distribution
A number of 200 scholarships are being offered to the students in Batch-IV and their distribution will be according to district as under:
Gwadar has been provided 80 scholarships, Lasbela/Hub (40 scholarships), Kech (Turbat) (40 scholarships) and Awaran (40 scholarships).
Programs & Disciplines Covered
HEC Courses 2025–2026, the scholarship is available to study any undergraduate programme. BS Degree of 4-5 years duration in all the disciplines offered by HEC recognized institutions.
The program offers ICAP and ICMA certifications which are considered to be equivalent to 16 years of education.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who can apply to fill the application form to be eligible to get the award of this scholarship. Applicants should possess a proper domical of Gwadar, Lasbela/Hub, Kech and Awaran. Minimum 50% marks are required in both SSC (Matric) and HSSC (Intermediate).
SSC and HSSC both years from a college within the coastal districts shall have been passed. As of the date of close of applications, not more than 22 years in case maximum age limit is prescribed. They also accept applications from students who are currently enrolled in the BS program, but not for more than a year before scholarship is announced.
Financial Benefits Offered
Selected students will receive comprehensive financial support throughout their studies. The scholarship covers tuition fees and other academic charges up to Rs. 60,000 per semester or year on average.
Scholars will also receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 15,000 to support living expenses. An annual book and travel grant of Rs 30,000 is also given to the fellow, while a one-time “Settling in” grant of Rs. 10,000 is paid on joining.

- Deposit the Rs. 500 test fee through the prescribed payment channels
- Submit the application before the deadline
